Jay Gruden tried to explain Washington’s depth chart by saying the league made him do it and called it “silly” to have one this time of year. Silly or not Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , it made news when Colt McCoy was listed as the starter at quarterback ahead of Case Keenum with rookie Dwayne Haskins third.Keenum heard the news from JP Finlay of NBCSportsWashington.com on Monday when Finlay asked about the depth chart.“I didn’t know,” Keenum said. “It’s news to me. Whatever reps I’m getting, I’m getting ready to play. That’s hands-down what I’m doing. [The depth chart] is for you guys to talk about. I’m not going to change what I do and how I approach each day.”McCoy has played in Gruden’s system for five seasons, while Keenum and Haskins are newcomers to Washington. Keenum signed as a free agent, and Washington drafted Haskins in the first round.Keenum said he still is getting down Gruden’s offensive system. So that explains why McCoy is listed as the starter, but the regular season still is more than a month away.“I don’t want to peak right now,” Keenum said. “I don’t want to peak as an offense right now. We’re still putting stuff in. It’s still the first time I’ve run some plays. We’re now getting to the point where there are staples to our offense. But you still want to be building. You still want to be climbing the mountain.”Keenum remains the favorite to win the job for the season opener, though the team didn’t draft Haskins to sit for long. Keenum, 31, has the most experience of the trio, with 54 starts, 12,661 passing yards and 64 touchdowns. The Redskins have been declared early winners of the 1st round for their selections of QB Dwayne Haskins and OLB Montez Sweat. They got two potential starters, but they each have question marks. Washington gets credit for being patient and letting Haskins fall to them. Trading up for Sweat could prove to be one of the best moves of the draft if his heart condition was misdiagnosed and he plays up to his very high potential. We posted opinion polls for each pick, and both players got an A from the Hogs Haven community. Sweat has received a lot more love than Haskins(81% to 59%).15. Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio StateSB NationGrade: A+Washington owner Dan Snyder got the player he wanted. And he did the right thing? That’s weird to say about Snyder. It was speculated that Washington would trade up for Haskins. That didn’t have to happen. In Haskins, Washington has its franchise quarterback of the future. When you can get that in the middle of the first round you’re doing something right. Haskins may be limited as a pocket passer only, but those players can still be plenty successful in the NFL.The RingerGrade: A+I love this pick. Haskins is a prototypical pocket passer with size, toughness, and a big arm. The former Buckeye has just one year of starting experience under his belt, but was supremely productive during it, throwing for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns, and just eight picks. He’s most comfortable operating out of the pocket, and is a decisive passer who throws with accuracy and velocity downfield—but will need to prove he can operate both in the face of pressure and when forced to move off his spot. Haskins may need some time to acclimate to the speed of pro defenses, but he can recognize pre-snap coverages, set protections, and make changes at the line. I love Haskins’s long-term potential under head coach and play-caller Jay Gruden, and I love it even more that Washington didn’t have to move up to get him.For The WinGrade: AAfter all the pre-draft hoopla that suggested the Redskins were going to pull a, well, Redskins and botch this draft Wes Martin Jersey , everything worked out for Washington: The Redskins didn’t have to trade up and still ended up with the second-best quarterback in the draft. Haskins is a prototypical pocket passer who diagnoses coverages in an instant. His deep-ball accuracy isn’t ideal and he isn’t very mobile, but Haskins has EVERYTHING else you want in a franchise quarterback.CBS SportsGrade: AI think he’s the best quarterback in this draft and it’s a great pick for the Redskins. Getting a cheap quarterback to come in and push to start right away is a great move. Love this pick by the Redskins. Like Kyler Murray he’s a one-year wonder, but there’s a lot of potential here.NFL.comGrade: A-The fact that they did not have to move up to get Haskins was a major bonus. His arm is live and he has the the ability to distribute the football to all parts of the field. Given the murky future of Alex Smith, finding Haskins waiting for them at No. 15 could prove to be franchise-changing. Finally, Washington traded up to grab Sweat, who will be a fine pass rusher if his heart condition does not prevent him from reaching his potential. They really needed depth at outside linebacker, where Sweat fits quite well. I am generally not enamored with giving up future second-round picks, but this guy’s talent is worthy of taking that sort of chance.Walter FootballGrade: A-I’ve said all along that the Redskins trading up for Dwayne Haskins would be insanely stupid because there would be a good chance that he’d fall to the Redskins at No. 15 overall. Unlike the Giants, who needlessly reached for Daniel Jones, Washington smartly stood pat at its pick and landed Haskins after all. I’m not a huge fan of Haskins as a prospect, but I think he could end up being a solid quarterback in the NFL. At the very least, the Redskins had to make this move because they didn’t have anything at quarterback beyond the pedestrian Case Keenum. Credit them for not panicking as all of the bogus rumors surfaced. Yahoo! SportsGrade: B+Washington gets their QB, as Haskins becomes the third quarterback off the board. Big body, analytical, strong arm … Haskins seemingly has all the necessary tools. The Redskins would be wise to sit him for a year behind Case Keenum.Sports IllustratedGrade: C+The rumors were true: Washington wanted Dwayne Haskins. Just how badly, we might never know, because after the many swirling rumors, the team ultimately did not need to trade up to draft him. There’s no way the Redskins could be confident that Haskins would still be on the board at 15. So they were willing to take him, but not splurge on him. After Alex Smith’s possibly career-ending leg injury last season, Washington needed a quarterback. The question now becomes, How soon will Haskins play? Having such a small sample size from college, he’s expected to be a work-in-progress. Can he be consistently accurate and poised from the pocket?26. Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi StateWalter FootballGrade: A+I thought the Redskins would trade two second-round picks to move up to this spot for a receiver. They just drafted a quarterback, yet have nothing at wideout. That would’ve made more sense as far as the position is concerned. However, Montez Sweat is a far better player than any receiver on the board. The Redskins lost Preston Smith in free agency, so they needed a potent edge rusher. Sweat is even more than that. Had it not been for a potentially misdiagnosed heart condition, Sweat would’ve been a top-10 selection in this class. Given the misdiagnosis, there doesn’t appear to be any concern with Sweat, making this an absolute steal. Despite the Redskins trading a 2020 second-round choice, this is one of the best picks of the 2019 NFL Draft thus far. SB NationGrade: AWashington didn’t have to give up much to get back into the first round, sending No. 46 and a 2020 second-round pick to the Colts. Only giving up that much Womens Bryce Love Jersey , it landed them Sweat, the best player available and a big need fill. This type of move is what the draft is all about.NFL.comGrade: A-The fact that they did not have to move up to get Haskins was a major bonus. I am generally not enamored with giving up future second-round picks, but this guy’s talent is worthy of taking that sort of chance. For The WinGrade: A-The Redskins just lost a pass rusher from Mississippi State (Preston Smith) and they replaced him with another one who has an even higher ceiling. Montez Sweat ran a faster 40 than Odell Beckham! He dropped after being apparently misdiagnosed with a heart issue at the combine, so Washington is getting a top-15 talent here after getting a top-10 talent in Dwayne Haskins. The Redskins are killing the draft, and I have no idea what’s real anymore.Yahoo! SportsGrade: A-Maybe the biggest question mark in this draft. Sweat’s talent as a defensive playmaker isn’t in question; his enlarged heart is. Some teams took him off their boards entirely. The Redskins clearly did not, trading up to get him. They paid a price (a second rounder this year and next), but they got a top-10 talent late in the first round. The RingerGrade: A-The Redskins grabbed two potential franchise pillars in the first round, selecting Haskins at no. 15 then trading two second-round picks to move up to no. 26 and take up a high-upside edge rusher. Sweat is an extraordinarily athletic pass rusher with a massive wingspan. first step, a nonstop motor, and the length to disrupt pockets even when he can’t get around his blocker. He uses a long-arm stab as his go-to rush move, but also shows flashes of a burgeoning hump move (rushing outside before pushing the tackle upfield and breaking inside). Against the run, Sweat’s length makes him tough to block at the point of attack. If he can bulk up, he’s got the potential to develop into a big-impact, three-down playmaker. As for value, Sweat ranked no. 12 on my board, so landing him at no. 26 helps cancel out the cost of the trade.Sports IllustratedGrade: B+The Redskins traded up to address a position that was not of significant need, and in doing so, tacitly declared that they missed on 2017 second-round pick Ryan Anderson, who has been mostly nondescript in his first two seasons. Sweat is a “great on paper” guy who has also flashed on film. The hope is he will provide a raw edge-bending presence opposite Ryan Kerrigan, who remains solid, if not spectacular, off the left side. Worth noting is that Sweat will be taught by Jim Tomsula, who is one of the industry’s highest regarded position coaches.CBS SportsGrade: BYeah, there’s issues. There were teams that took him off the board with concerns about the heart. The ability is there. The ability is phenomenal. He’s fast, he made a lot of plays. Had a great senior year. Controversial pick to keep an eye on going forward after Redskins gave up picks to trade back into first round.

Multiple former Steelers have taken to social media this offseason to express complaints about the team Womens T. J. Watt Jersey , and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Now two current Steelers are asking for it to stop.Steelers starting offensive linemen Ramon Foster and Maurkice Pouncey are offering to talk to any former players who want to address a concern — as long as the players come to them privately, rather than air dirty laundry publicly.“Moving forward, any former player or affiliate of the Steelers who has an issue with anyone still in the locker room, please contact me or Maurkice Pouncey or anyone else you feel you can talk to JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey White ,” Foster wrote on Twitter. “Whoever you have an issue with, we will get you their number so you can address them. I PROMISE. These media takes might give y’all good traffic on your social media outlets but the guys still in that locker room, who y’all still know personally have to answer for those comments. Call them what you want, but call them personally and tell THEM. Defend who you want to defend but you don’t have to mention the team at all. Whether you have a ring or played for one year. ENOUGH. CHILL. Most players at one point in their life want to take their kids back to the place where they once played https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-juju-smith-schuster-jersey , don’t burn too many bridges. It’s a long history or brotherhood more than anything.a minimum for the guys who have to answer for those comments moving forward.”It’s easy to understand why Foster feels that way, but also easy to predict that it won’t happen. Sometimes people want to air their issues publicly, and a plea from Foster is unlikely to change anyone’s mind. Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is continuing to mix it up with fans on Twitter, and he suggested in one tweet that he holds coach Mike Tomlin accountable for the perception that Brown quit on the team before their final game of the season.Responding to a fan who accused him of showing by sitting out the final game of the season that he doesn’t really love football T. J. Watt Jersey White , Brown wrote that Tomlin telling the Steelers he quit on them made him out to be the bad guy.鈥?#8220;After the coach tell the team I quit while nursing some bumps then invite me to watch the show with same guys thinking I quit i can not stand with that! I鈥檓 the bad guy doe we miss post season think about it,” Brown wrote. Not exactly the clearest form of communication, but the general impression from Brown’s tweet is that he thinks Tomlin made him the fall guy. Brown doesn’t seem to be trying to endear himself to his coach, perhaps because he’s committed to playing for someone else this year.

Champ Bailey joined the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2019 as one of the greatest cornerbacks in Denver Broncos history." Denver Broncos in the Hall of FameHall of Fame Profile: Champ BaileyNew https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-von-miller-jersey ,14commentsChamp Bailey joined the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2019 as one of the greatest cornerbacks in Denver Broncos history. MDTShare this storyShare this on FacebookShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:Hall of Fame Profile: Champ BaileyTwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailThe Washington Redskins selected cornerback Champ Bailey with the seventh overall selection in the 1999 NFL Draft. He went on to live up to his draft status and much more. After his fifth season, Washington traded Bailey and a second-round pick to the Denver Broncos for running back Clinton Portis. All Champ did from there was land three consecutive all-pro awards and dominate the league at the cornerback position. He finished his career with 12 Pro Bowl selections, 3 First-team All-Pro awards, 4 Second-team All-Pro awards, and was named to the NFL 2000s All Decade Team. How to encapsulate Bailey’s Hall of Fame worthiness in one line? I found an answer to that question from this tweet. Champ Bailey had the ball thrown his way just 35 times in 2006. He gave up four receptions, but landed 11 pass breakups and an incredible 10 interceptions. That season, combined with the season he had in 2005, ensured quarterbacks stayed away from Champ for years after. One little known fact about Bailey is that he played for 10 different defensive coordinators in his career. It would be 11, but he played under Mike Nolan under Norv Turner in 1999 and then again in 2009 under Josh McDaniels. That’s an insanely high number and a testament to Bailey’s greatness. It didn’t matter how much the scheme changed around him, he played at a Hall of Fame level. In Bailey’s final season, he reached Super Bowl 48 with the Broncos. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be as the team floundered in a blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He officially retired on October 18, 2014 after 15 seasons in the NFL. (AP) — Left guard Max Garcia showed up at the Denver Broncos‘ headquarters Friday with a sore left knee, something that initially seemed like a minor annoyance for a team preparing for two big offensive line changes already. With right guard Connor McGovern preparing for his first NFL start at center and Elijah Wilkinson set to make his first pro start at right guard, Garcia went for an MRI.The result was devastating: a torn anterior cruciate ligament.Garcia is the third starting offensive lineman the Broncos have lost this season, joining guard Ronald Leary (Achilles) and center Matt Paradis, who had surgery on his broken right leg earlier this week.“It’s been a tough year for us O-linemen,” left tackle Garett Bolles said. “It’s a shame to see three guys that are really close to me go down, but at the same time I know that we have guys behind them that have stepped up to the plate and are going to smack a home run.”Garcia’s injury further staggered a team that’s trying to salvage a season featuring four one-score losses, including to the league’s two 9-1 teams the Rams and Chiefs, by a combined seven points.“It was really weird https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey , I watched (Thursday’s) practice from the last play back to the first play and he didn’t miss a down,” coach Vance Joseph said. “So, the play he was injured on, I saw it, it was kind of a slip. It was no big deal. He finished up practice.”Joseph said Billy Turner, who started four games at right tackle when , will start at left guard Sunday when the Broncos (3-6) visit the Los Angeles Chargers (7-2).This will mark the Broncos’ sixth different lineup on the O-line this season, but Joseph said it won’t affect the game plan.“I thought leaving camp that we had the best line that we’ve had around here in a while as far as depth and as far as guys who can play” multiple positions, Joseph said. “It happens. It’s football. We’ve got Billy Turner playing the left guard with Eli playing the right guard along with Mac playing the center, so I’m comfortable. Let’s go play.”He said recently signed seven-year veteran center Gino Gradkowski will be active Sunday along with rookie swing guard Sam Jones.“Ain’t too many guys left ,” he said.Through every combination the Broncos have run the ball with success as rookies Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman have rushed for 900 yards and seven touchdowns with veteran Devontae Booker adding 144 yards, a touchdown and a team-high 5.8-yard average. What they’ve had trouble doing is protecting quarterback Case Keenum, who has 11 touchdowns and 11 turnovers and has been sacked two dozen times.Still, offensive coordinator Billy Musgrave has been reluctant to reduce his use of three-receiver sets that put more pressure on the thinning O-line.The turnstile hasn’t helped Bolles, a 2017 first-rounder, refine his raw game after playing just one season of major college football.“It’s been hard having different lineups. I’ve had five different lineups, so it’s been frustrating,” Bolles said. “But it doesn’t matter who’s next to me, they’re going to make me better, I’m going to make them better and you’ve just got to roll with the punches and work out the kinks.”

Safety Landon Collins‘ first on-field work with Washington was delayed by his recovery from shoulder surgery Wes Martin Jersey , but he got the green light to return to work this week.Collins, who signed a six-year deal as a free agent this offseason, has been on the field for both of the team’s organized team activities this week.“We’re still very cautious with the shoulder,” head coach Jay Gruden said, via the . “But he feels good and we’re trying to get him in some 7-on-7 drills. I want to get him lined up when we have walk-throughs so he can communicate the defense and get lined up. Then at his own discretion, and the trainers’ discretion, he’ll do some team periods every now and then just making sure he’s careful.”Collins may be limited, but he said it helps “just getting out here getting the reps” after spending several months recovering from his shoulder injury. Assuming all goes well over the rest of the offseason program, the limitations should be gone by the time Collins gets to training camp. Team: Tennessee Titans2017 Record: 9-7 (2nd, AFC South)2018 Record: 8-6 (t-2nd, AFC South)Outlook: The 2017 Titans endured a tough schedule to finish 9-7, qualified for the playoffs for the first time in nine years, then rallied from a 21-3 halftime deficit to beat the Chiefs 22-21 in the Wild Card Round of the AFC Playoffs—and the Titans still fired Mike Mularkey.Mike Vrabel took over with a decent supply of young talent, and he’s parlayed it into an 8-6 record, good for a tie for second place in the AFC South. He finds himself in a very similar position as Jay Gruden and the Washington Redskins: Outside the playoff field, but just barely.DeMarco Murray left this past offseason, which meant that it was time for Derrick Henry to get an even bigger spotlight.Henry led the Titans in rushing last year Womens Bryce Love Jersey , even though he (technically) only started two games and got slightly fewer carries than Murray.Henry had struggled to be productive for much of this season, but he’s exploded the past two games with a total of 408 yards and six touchdowns. This success comes after not rushing for more than 58 yards in any of the previous 12 games.Meanwhile, Marcus Mariota is having a decent year, despite missing two starts due to injury. Unlike 2017, he’s thrown for more touchdowns than interceptions.Largely as a result, Mariota’s QB rating is north of 90 again after dipping into the upper 70s last season. The Titans were a middle-of-the-pack defensive team in 2017.Safety Kevin Byard was a bright spot, becoming an All-Pro pick in just his second season.Tennessee finished strong, though, allowing fewer than 21 points in seven of their final ten games to help the Titans slip into the playoffs. That momentum has carried over to this year, as Tennessee has allowed just 254 points, good for #2 in the NFL.They’ve given up a total of only 31 points during their current, three-game winning streak. They’re also seventh in the NFL in yards allowed. How Worried Should We Be?: Very worried.I think the Redskins’ defense actually matches up well against the strengths of the Titans’ offense, although Mariota’s running ability scares me.However, Tennessee has played the same two teams as Washington the past two weeks while faring much better.Whereas the Redskins gutted out a last-second win over the Jags on Sunday after getting killed by the Giants the week before, the Titans shut out New York 17-0 on the heels of a 30-9 beating of Jacksonville. The homestanding Titans also have at least as much on the line as the Redskins. Both teams have an excellent chance to make the playoffs if they can win their last two games. The Redskins need the Seahawks, Vikings, or perhaps even the Cowboys to falter. If just one of those teams slips as Washington goes 9-7 https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-terry-mclaurin-jersey , the Redskins will qualify.Likewise, the Titans have the same record as the current sixth-seeded Baltimore Ravens and the Indianapolis Colts.Tennessee needs some help, but odds are that a 10-6 finish would get them in, as they play the Colts next week and the Ravens still have to battle the Chargers. If there’s reason for optimism among Washington fans, it’s that the Titans have been fairly inconsistent: Since their bye week, the Titans have beaten the Cowboys by two touchdowns in Dallas and crushed the Patriots by 24, but also lost to the by 17.Maybe they’re due for a stinker after two good showings?Or maybe that’s wishful thinking. On the Redskins’ side, another off-field distraction has emerged in the form of the arrest and charges against Montae Nicholson. That incident and the associated video provide yet another unwelcome sideshow for a franchise that can’t seem to go more than a few weeks without stumbling into a new one.Even more relevant to Saturday’s game is the troubling prospect of the Redskins having to put together an effective offensive attack against the Tennessee defense.Josh Johnson was serviceable against a tough Jags defense, and that’s to be commended. The recently-returned Jamison Crowder obviously made a difference. And Adrian Peterson hit another gear with the game on the line. But the Redskins won’t have the luxury of competing against an offense as anemic as Jacksonville’s.Unlike last weekend, one touchdown won’t be enough, and Washington won’t be able to lean on winning the field-position battle most of the day. That means, yet again, the offense will need to play over its head. There’s no question about the effort and the will to win, but will the patchwork unit be able to do enough to get a second consecutive road win?I hope so.But I worry.A lot.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers still haven’t decided whether there’s a path for wayward wide receiver Antonio Brown to return in 2019.Not that it matters to Brown. He’s already made up his mind.A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press the perennial Pro Bowler has formally asked the Steelers for a trade JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey White , the latest move in a game of brinksmanship by the 30-year-old designed to force Pittsburgh to move him by the start of training camp this summer. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not permitted to publicly discuss personnel matters.Brown appeared to make his decision official in a social media post released on Instagram on Tuesday. The video includes highlights from Brown’s career with the Steelers while lyrics from “Do What I Want” by rapper Lil Uzi Vert plays in the background.“SteelerNation thank you for nine big years!!!” Brown wrote. “Time to move on and move forward.”The post came shortly after Brown was found guilty in absence on a charge of reckless driving in a suburban Pittsburgh court on Tuesday morning. Brown was charged in November for driving his black sports car over 100 mph in a 45 mph zone. He paid a $426.77 fine. Brown did not attend Tuesday’s hearing.Brown still has three years remaining on the $72 million contract he signed in the spring of 2017, and remains one of the most dynamic performers in the league. He is the only player in NFL history with six consecutive 100-catch seasons and he hauled in 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and a franchise-record 15 touchdowns in 2018.Still, Brown’s behavior became increasingly erratic last fall. The nadir came before Pittsburgh’s game against Cincinnati in Week 17. The team sent him home with an apparent leg injury on the Friday before the game and he failed to providecoach Mike Tomlin with an update until Sunday morning, when his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, let Tomlin know that Brown was available to play.Tomlin opted to make Brown inactive and Brown did not show up to clean out his locker or conduct an exit interview with the coaching staff. He pulled out of the Pro Bowl with an injury and team president Art Rooney II indicated the team had been unable to make contact with Brown in the weeks after Pittsburgh finished 9-6-1 and failed to reach the playoffs.Rooney https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-juju-smith-schuster-jersey , however, stressed last month he did not plan to “disparage” Brown and did not close the door on Brown’s possible return. That still might be the case, whether Brown wants to come back or not. There is no major rush with another month before the new league year begins, though Pittsburgh could work out the parameters of a deal by March 13. Brown’s contract counts $21.12 million in 2019, a number that inches north to $23.62 if Brown receives a $2.5 million roster bonus he’s scheduled to receive on March 17.The number seems daunting, but for once the Steelers are not right up against the salary cap thanks in large part to running back Le’Veon Bell’s decision to sit out 2018 rather than sign his one-year franchise tender. The $14.4 million Bell forfeited will roll over into 2019, giving Pittsburgh some flexibility to absorb a loss if Brown plays elsewhere.Cutting Brown is almost certainly off the table Womens James Conner Jersey , but what Brown could command on the trade market is uncertain. Pittsburgh received a third-round pick from Oakland last season for Martavis Bryant, who carried the weight of unmet expectations and a record that included multiple violations of the NFL’s substance abuse policy.Brown doesn’t have that kind of baggage, though his behavior in recent months could give potential suitors pause. The list of his transgressions in recent months includes a pending civil lawsuit in Florida claiming he hurled objects from the 14th floor of an apartment building that landed near a toddler; threatening an ESPN reporter through social media ; and his 100 mph sprint through the northern Pittsburgh suburbs on Nov. 8.Several of Brown’s teammates, including second-year wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, talked openly at the Pro Bowl about Brown remaining with the team that took a flyer on him in the sixth-round of the 2010 draft and helped him evolve into one of the best receivers of his generation. Brown apparently wants no part of a reconciliation. The Pittsburgh Steelers stressed all summer the need to avoid the kind of off-the-field distractions they couldn’t seem to shake in 2017.So much for that. While the two-time defending AFC North champions hit the practice field on Monday to prepare for their Week 1 opener in Cleveland, All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell was nowhere to be found. Bell still hasn’t signed his one-year franchise tender or given any indication on when he might show up, leaving his teammates to answer for him.“I’m not annoyed by (being asked about) it T. J. Watt Jersey ,” guard Ramon Foster said, tongue firmly in cheek. “Who are you talking about? I didn’t even notice.”Center Maurkice Pouncey called Bell’s absence “fine” and insisted it won’t be an issue going forward.“The team is so locked in and focused on what we’ve got to do at hand this weekend that whenever he comes, we’ll welcome him with open arms,” Pouncey said. “Hopefully he’s in shape and ready to run the football.”A year ago Bell skipped training camp, showed up on Labor Day and was ready to play in the opener, though he and the entire offense looked sluggish in narrow 21-18 victory over the Browns. Bell finished with 32 yards on 10 carries in Cleveland and didn’t really get rolling until October.“I think the whole offense started out kind of slow last year,” Pouncey said. “To point out one thing at one person because he wasn’t here (for camp) is totally wrong.”Bell recovered in time to lead the NFL with 406 touches and likely would have won the league rushing title if he wasn’t held out of a meaningless finale with Pittsburgh’s playoff position already secure. The Steelers placed the franchise tag on him for a second straight spring hoping a long-term deal could be worked out. When the two sides failed to reach an agreement by the July 17th deadline Jerome Bettis Jersey White , Bell offered an apology while promising that “2018 will be my best season to date.”At the moment, it’s a season that currently lacks a starting point.21<button class="view-gallery">View Gallery</button> Gallery:Dallas Cowboys: Celebrities who root for the Cowboys from LeBron James to Stone Cold Steve AustinUSA TODAY SportsThe players are off Tuesday, meaning Bell would have just three days of practice to get ready for the Browns if he signed his $14.5 million tender before the team took the field on Wednesday. That’s not a lot of time regardless of Bell’s pedigree.Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said the team was “disappointed” in Bell’s late arrival, but will focus on preparing for Cleveland with the 53 men currently on the roster. If Bell is not available, the Steelers will turn to second-year running back James Conner. The former Pitt star ran for 100 yards during limited action in the preseason and has won raves from his teammates for his improvement as both a blocker and a receiver.“I feel like James has been in a great spot this entire camp,” Foster said. “He’s the one that’s taken all the reps. And we’ve got (Stevan) Ridley who is an experienced hard downfield runner too. We’ll be fine in the run game and focus on those guys over there.” The second-year quarterback capped a stellar training camp by edging veteran Landry Jones for the right to be Ben Roethlisberger‘s backup.Dobbs James Conner Jersey White , who threw for a touchdown and ran for another in the exhibition finaleagainst Carolina, said he wasn’t sure he made the team until offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner called him just minutes before rosters were trimmed from 90 to 53.“I thought I played well when my opportunities came,” Dobbs said. “I didn’t know how it was going to shake out but I felt we prepared well and played well. We’ve just got to continue to improve moving forward.”Rookie Mason Rudolph will be the third-stringer for now behind Dobbs and the 36-year-old Roethlisberger, who has been remarkably durable in recent seasons. Roethlisberger has missed just five games because of injury since the start of 2013.NOTES: The team selected Roethlisberger, Pouncey, defensive end Cam Heyward and kicker Chris Boswell as captains for the 2018 season. … Pittsburgh re-signed S Nat Berhe on Monday and placed LB Ola Adeniyi on injured reserve.

Raiders Derek Carr Jersey White , Broncos week 2 injury report: Raiders without both starting defensive tackles Starting at the two defensive tackle spots in the Raiders’ season opener against the Rams were Justin Ellis and PJ Hall. Both missed practice Wednesday in preparation to face the Broncos in week two.PJ Hall suffered an ankle injury in the game. He got it taped up and returned to the game, but Wednesday was wearing a walking boot and his status is very much in doubt. Justin Ellis has a foot injury and the fact that the team added 6-3, 320-pound Johnathan Hankins along with 6-2, 297-pound Clinton McDonald today suggests Ellis could miss some time. DeAndre Washington returned to practice after missing all last week and the game recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery. He was limited.Other notable players limited Wednesday are KR Dwayne Harris(foot), center Rodney Hudson (Ankle), right guard Gabe Jackson (Pectoral), running back Marshawn Lynch (Shoulder) and punter Johnny Townsend (right quad). The Broncos have a lot of guys listed but all practiced full.Wednesday injury reportRaiders......Raiders...... Yesterday's scrimmage had its ups and downs, but overall it's always good for a young team like the Raiders to practice against a team as good as the Rams.Jared Goff and the Rams receivers had their way against the Oakland defense with no sacks allowed, but the Raider offensive line did a tremendous job against a stout Rams line. Let's see how it goes today when practice begins at 9:50 AM Pacific.

Jack Reale represented Champ Bailey throughout his playing career and Reale will represent Bailey at this summer’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony as well.Bailey has selected Reale as his presenter for the August 3 event in Canton https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey , Ohio. Reale represented Bailey’s older brother Ron and took on Champ as a client when he left the University of Georgia in 1999. Bailey was selected in the first round by Washington and then went to Denver in a 2004 trade that Reale helped negotiate in his agent role.“I am honored that Champ has chosen me,” Reale said, via Law.com. “It was truly a joy watching him grow and develop into the league’s best defensive back, and I am proud to be here for the next step of his journey.”Bailey will be joined in this year’s Hall of Fame class by Tony Gonzalez, Ed Reed, Ty Law, Kevin Mawae, Gil Brandt, Johnny Robinson and the late Pat Bowlen. “pay me or trade me” ultimatum yesterday, and they may already be at an impasse.According to Mike Klis of KUSA, the star cornerback’s agent told the team he was looking for a new deal that exceeds $15 million per year Citing a source Phillip Lindsay Jersey White , Klis also reports the Broncos aren’t prepared to go to that level for Harris, so things could turn ugly in a hurry.Harris just received a $1 million option bonus in March, and is due to make $7.9 million this year on the final year of the deal he signed in 2014. He hasn’t shown up for the offseason program yet. The Broncos gave cornerback Kareem Jackson a three-year deal worth $11 million a year this offseason, which can’t help Harris’ mood when he’s looking for a raise.Elway has said he would talk to Harris’ agent after the draft.“I don’t have time right now,” Elway said Tuesday. “I’m busy with the draft. We’ll talk about Chris. He’s under contract, so we’ll talk about that when the draft is over.“When I say this, I said we’re going to talk about it. It doesn’t mean we’re going to do it.”If they were going to move Harris, this would be the time, so the draft pick compensation they get could go toward filling a rather sizable hole on their depth chart.

The Redskins have many holes on their roster. Will they be a player in free agency? Could a splash pick be in the cards?Below are some targets the Redskins could be interested in as we move towards free agency.WR:Randall Cobb:Cobb is a productive slot receiver who can gain YAC in the open field. A change of scenery may be just what he needs after eight seasons in Green Bay.Tyrell Williams:Williams won’t be cheap Montez Sweat Jersey , but he’s young, and looking to go somewhere when he can be a team’s top option in the passing game. Washington lacks a true top receiver, so the fit may be ideal if the money is not too high.Devin Funchess:Funchess is like a power forward playing wide receiver. Much like Mike Evans, he wins with size, body position and physicality. Jordan Matthews:Matthews is not a true go-to receiver, but he’s a solid route runner who is physical after the catch. TE:Maxx Williams:The former first round pick has been passed over in Baltimore. He’s a solid blocker and a sneaky-good receiver. He’d be a great fit in 12-personnel. Jesse James:James is sneaky-athletic for a 6’7” 265 pound man. He’s improved his blocking each season, and he has the speed and size to be a mismatch for both linebackers and safeties. G:Rodger Saffold:Saffold will probably command a pretty hefty salary, but he’s a solid guard who excels in open space. He’d be a very nice fit with Gruden’s offense. Billy Turner:Turner is a light-footed mover who is more of a positional blocker than a true mauler. He does a nice job working to the second level on tandem blocks.A.J. Cann:Cann could fit in nicely at left guard for the Redskins. He’s a powerful interior blocker who has improved his technique over the last two seasons. Evan Boehm:Boehm can play both center and guard, and could give the Redskins a versatile interior lineman with some starting potential and positional flexability. ILB:C.J. Mosley:Mosley is a prototypical 3-4 inside linebacker Dwayne Haskins Redskins Jersey , who would give the Redskins a major presence at the position - something they have been lacking for years. Plus, he’s a former Alabama stud. CB:Darqueze Dennard:Dennard is a young, physical corner who needs a chance to shine as a boundary player. He is a solid bump-and-run defender.Pierre Desir:Desir is a long, rangy corner with good ability to locate and disrupt passes. He’s best in hip-trail technique with solid over-the-top safety help. Ronald Darby:Darby is a blazer with plus ball skills and smooth hips that allow him to break well on routes. He can play both outside and in the slot.Bradley Roby:Roby is a solid slot corner who can play outside if needed. He’s best playing in zone coverage. Safety:Landon Collins: The do-it-all safety should be on top of the Redskins wish list. He brings versatility, physicality, leadership and he’s from Alabama(yeah, that matters). who can play as a S or nickle back. He’s not afraid to mix it up in run support either. Tashaun Gipson:Gipson will be 29 when the season starts, but the guy can play. He’s a ball-hawking safety who’s recorded 20 interceptions in his career, and is not afraid to come up and lay the lumber. PITTSBURGH (AP) — Injured Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier will miss a second straight season while recovering from spinal surgery. The team placed Shazier on the physically unable to perform list on Monday https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-juju-smith-schuster-jersey , allowing him more time to continue his rehabilitation from a lower spine injury suffered against Cincinnati in December 2017.The 26-year-old Shazier, a two-time Pro Bowler Womens James Conner Jersey , remains committed to playing in the NFL again. He has chronicled his physical progress over the last 18 months through various social media accounts and continues to be heavily involved in team activities, including scouting college players and serving as a de facto coach for the team’s inside linebackers. The Steelers took a major step toward addressing Shazier’s absence in the offseason. linebacker Mark Barron as a free agent in March and traded up in the first round of the NFL draft to select Michigan’s Devin Bush with the 10th overall pick. If the Pittsburgh Steelers are to lose their noted offensive line coach to a head coaching role with another team in 2019 T. J. Watt Jersey White , it appears it will not be to the Denver Broncos. Named as one of the two men left in the running for the position earlier in the day, it appears Mike Munchak has lost out to Vic Fangio of the Chicago Bears in the battle for the job. With Munchak still potentially in the running for the same position with the Cleveland Browns T. J. Watt Jersey , there is no guarantee he will return to Pittsburgh in 2019, but there can be little question the number of opportunity are closing with names like Freddie Kitchens seemingly having the inside track with the Browns. Munchak reportedly turned down interest from the Miami Dolphins for their top job and both the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have filled their vacancies in the last week as well.Given his contributions to the team since joining the Steelers in 2014 Jerome Bettis Jersey White , there can be few fans who will not be happy about the prospect of keeping Munchak for at least one more season and his offensive line are sure to be delighted to have him back with them for another year.

While in Kansas City to play the Chiefs to close the season Bo Jackson Jersey White , the Raiders have interviewed Mike Mayock for their open General Manager position. And according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, he has emerged as a “strong candidate” for the position. Mayock himself confirmed the interview to Vic Tafur of the Athletic.Mayock has been a television GM just like Gruden has been a television coach over the last few years so he has been in touch with the game, watching plenty of tape. And if you look at the players Mayock has liked in his time with NFL Network, he’s usually right. So he’s become a respected NFL personnel man that a lot of NFL teams are interested in now. He’s also no stranger to the Raiders as legendary owner Al Davis thought highly of him. So it is likely a move would have the spirit of Davis’ blessing if it is to happen. This would be the start of a unified personnel room with only one draft board going forward.he future with Mayock as the GM.What do you think? The Packers were expected to play their starters in tonight’s preseason game in Winnipeg. They now are reconsidering because of a patch of turf in the south end zone.“We are still in the process of determining what to do https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-derek-carr-jersey ,” Packers CEO/President Mark Murphy told Josh Moser of Fox 11.The Raiders already were planning to hold out most of their key players.Team officials from both the Packers and the Raiders spent pregame warmups examining an area of turf in the end zone where the Canadian Football League goal post normally sits.Mike Garafolo of the NFL said league and team officials even have discussed an 80-yard field to avoid the end zone.John Graham of On Ice Management, the promoter for the game, told Matt Kawahara of the that the NFL and NFLPA had approved the field for play. For the Packers, it brings back memories of the 2016 Hall of Fame Game Derek Carr Jersey White , which was canceled because of unsafe playing conditions. The Packers were scheduled to play the Colts in that game but fresh paint at midfield and in the end zones congealed and rubberized, creating a slick surface.

We take a brief break from the weekly angst over the roughing the passer penalties in the NFL to talk cold Womens Courtland Sutton Jersey , hard cash.Anthony Prince got his money.Eric Dickerson wants to get paid, too.Prince isn’t a big name like Dickerson, who leads a group of Hall of Famers who are threatening to follow in Terrell Owens’ footsteps and boycott future induction ceremonies if the NFL doesn’t give them health insurance and a share of league revenues. How much? How about $300,000 annually for each Hall of Famer.Seems like a long shot. Then again, Prince was initially spurred when he tried to cash his ticket.Prince is the football fan who made some serious greenbacks when FanDuel goofed up and gave him exorbitant odds on the Broncos‘ comeback last week. After initially refusing to pay up, the online betting company made good on the ticket.Prince made a $110 bet at the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey, at FanDuel’s new sports book, and was handed a ticket at incredible 750-to-1 odds with about a minute left as the Broncos trailed the Raiders by 2 points on their final drive last week. Denver kicked a field goal with 6 seconds left to win 20-19.That meant a payoff of more than $82,000.But wait.FanDuel said its automated system mistakenly generated long odds in the final moments of the game when it should have calculated his odds at 1-6, meaning a bettor would have to wager $600 to win $100.The company initially refused to pay the bet placed at its sports book at the Meadowlands Racetrack, saying it isn’t obligated to pay for obvious errors.FanDuel reversed field after consulting with state gambling regulators, however.“We want sports betting to be fun,” FanDuel said in a statement. “So Womens Von Miller Jersey , this one’s on the house. We are paying out these erroneous tickets and wish the lucky customers well.”So, Prince and another 11 customers who capitalized on an 18-second computer glitch to place their bets, all got paid.SHOW US THE MONEYSome of the best men ever to play in the NFL want a cut of the action. In a strongly worded letter sent to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith and Hall of Fame President David Baker — and obtained by The Associated Press — 21 Hall of Fame members cited themselves as “integral to the creation of the modern NFL, which in 2017 generated $14 billion in revenue.”Among the signees were Dickerson, who is listed as chairman of the newly created Hall of Fame Board the group has formed; Jim Brown; Joe Namath; Lawrence Taylor; and Sarah White, the widow of Reggie White. There were questions, though, about how well-organized the group was. Two players whose names are on the letter said they were not part of the boycott effort. Another name on the list was Carl Ellard, but no one by that name has played professional football. Former Vikings defensive end Carl Eller, however, is a Hall of Famer.Jerry Rice, whose name is on the letter https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-von-miller-jersey , said he wasn’t on the Hall of Fame Board. And in a statement on Twitter , the former wide receiver said he plans to support the Hall of Fame and “looks forward to attending the 100th anniversary in 2020.”Kurt Warner also released a statement on Twitter that said he wasn’t made aware of the letter and said his name was mistakenly put on it. He said he supports the efforts for better benefits for all retired players and doesn’t believe in boycotting the Hall of Fame.Other takeaways from Week 3 include players rallying around Dolphins defensive end William Hayes, who tore his right ACL while trying to avoid landing on Oakland quarterback Derek Carr and comply with the roughing the passer rules that are being emphasized this season. Jon Gruden lamented a lack of pass rushers on the Raiders’ roster three weeks after shipping Khalil Mack to Chicago and the Bills mistook Madison, Wisconsin, for Minneapolis.WHAT ABOUT US?San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman summed up a lot of defenders’ feelings when he retweeted a video clip of Hayes getting hurt Sunday while trying to avoid landing on Carr.“They don’t care about the rest of us getting hurt. Long as the QB is safe,” Sherman tweeted.Broncos nose tackle Domata Peko concurred with Sherman’s sentiment.“We get offensive linemen falling on us all the time,” Peko said. “We get 600 pounds on top of us when two guys land on us, and they don’t say nothing about that.”During the Steelers-Buccaneers Monday night game that featured four roughing the passer flags, Texans star defender J.J. Watt tweeted, “Roughing the Passer calls are absolutely out of control.”MACK ATTACKThe Raiders (0-3) haven’t generated much of a pass rush since trading Mack to the Bears.“It’s hard to find a great one,” rushers. “It’s hard to find a good one. It’s hard to find one.”There’s a great one in Chicago, where Mack has four sacks and the Bears are alone in first place for the first time in five years. The Raiders are one of three winless teams and they’re last in the league with three sacks.MIDWEST MISTAKEThe Bills got the last laugh for their geographical gaffe .Upon arriving in Minneapolis on Saturday, they tweeted a short video about their 944-mile flight from Buffalo https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey , where a Bills helmet showed the point of departure and an airplane the route. Only, instead of placing the Vikings helmet at their destination in Minnesota, they had it in Madison, Wisconsin.“We actually play in the other Minnesota,” the Vikings retorted on Twitter.“Glad we found the right Minnesota,” the Bills responded following their stunning 27-6 win . Free agent offensive lineman Zane Beadles is retiring from the NFL.He announced his decision in two Twitter posts Monday.“After nine years in the NFL, many things led to me deciding retirement from this profession was my next step,” Beadles wrote. “I look back on my time with gratitude for the amazing experiences this game provided and the amazing people I met that made me a better man.“I can’t thank the people who helped me get there and stay there enough. . . .I am excited for the next chapter for my family and I. I know the lessons learned living the crazy life this great game requires will propel us forward into more greatness.”The Broncos made Beadles a second-round choice in 2010. He played 137 games, starting 90, including nine appearances and five starts for the Falcons last season.Beadles, 32, also played for the Jaguars and the 49ers.

Art Rooney II made his end-of-the-year press interviews on Wednesday, first with a small group of reporters and then on the Steelers Live show on Steelers.com. Thanks to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Steeler fans were given some insight as to the private interview. Some of the topics discussed in either instance were the following:On evaluating the 2018 season, especially not making the playoffs:“It was a tough way to end the season. It felt like we had a chance, and it really came down to just a few plays here and there in the season, literally at the end there. So it’s disappointing that we didn’t make it. It felt like we had a team, particularly the last three weeks of the season, playing well and playing some of the playoff teams and playing well against them. So it’s disappointing.”“I think the two things that if I had to pick out a couple things that were a problem. One was a kicking game was below average and below where we expected in to be. And second is the minus turnover ratio. That’s always a problem. We can’t be on the wrong side of that.”On how he would evaluate the players and the coaches:“I think that when you don’t make the playoffs, nobody is absolved. You just have to say that the players coaches, staff, front office, everybody’s got to do a better job.”“I think we have a core group of players that can get us back to where we want to be. I look forward to working on this off-season and trying to get the pieces back in place.”On Mike Tomlin’s performance:“I think everybody left room for improvement. When you don’t make the playoffs you look at everything and everyone. Coach (Tomlin) and I have talked about a number of different things. And Kevin (Colbert) the same way. So we have work to do.”“Shawn was probably going to get an opportunity eventually somewhere, and so we’re glad it’s here. He’s been mentoring with Munch for a number of years now. So he’s comfortable in the room and he knows the guys and the guys know him. So we think he’ll be able to step up and do the job.”On an extension for Ben Roethlisberger:“Ben had a strong year physically and mentally. I think he’s in a good place and, as you look around the league and see guys playing into their 40’s at the quarterback position, there’s no reason to think that Ben can’t be one of those guys.”On the Antonio Brown situation:“I would have liked to have been able to talk with him and understand a little better from his perspective what went on the last week of the season.”On Ryan Shazier in 2019:“We’re going to continue to work with him and figure out how that works.”“He just continues to be an impressive young man who is making progress beyond what anyone predicted he would make. He was jogging in the workout room the other day, so I wouldn’t underestimate him.”On Le’Veon Bell:“We’ve got a decision to make, so we’ll probably have some discussions with his representative here in the next few weeks and kind of talk through that.”On playing in Mexico:“All I can tell you is we keep volunteering to make the trip and would love to go down there sometime. We have a great fan following down there in Mexico.”On various other topics only answered in the private interview:

DENVER (AP) — Even down to one healthy cornerback Womens Dre'Mont Jones Jersey , another spitting up blood, three sidelined with injuries and one ejected for throwing a punch, Vance Joseph trusted his defense more than his offense. The Denver Broncos‘ embattled second-year coach sent kicker Brandon McManus out for a field goal rather than go for it on fourth-and-1 from the Cleveland 6 with the Broncos trailing by four points and less than five minutes remaining.“I trust our defense to get a stop there,” Joseph explained after the Broncos’ 17-16 loss to the Browns on Saturday that all but eliminated them from the wild-card chase. “If we don’t get points there, a touchdown has to win it. It was my decision to take points.”The Broncos (6-8) did get the ball back when Adam Gotsis stuffed Nick Chubb on fourth-and-1 from the Denver 10-yard line with 1:49 remaining. And they reached the 50-yard line with 52 seconds left but Case Keenum, who was picked off twice, spiked the ball on first down to stop the clock, then threw two incompletions before getting sacked by blitzing defensive back Jabrill Peppers to seal Denver’s first loss to Cleveland since 1990.“Five years later I was born,” said Baker Mayfield, who threw for two touchdowns in leading the Browns (6-7-1) to multiple road wins for the first time since 2014.Despite not having a stout run defense like they did in years past or the star-studded secondary they did when Aqib Talib and T.J. Ward were still around, the Broncos have only surrendered an average of 21.3 points a game this season.Trouble is, they’ve only averaged 21.8 themselves and five times they’ve been held under 20.The Broncos appeared to have a gilded road to the second wild-card spot after surviving the league’s toughest schedule through Week 12. Of their five final opponents, only one had a winning record: the Chargers, whom they’d already beaten in Los Angeles. Then came back-to-back losses to teams with losing records, 20-14 at San Francisco and 17-16 against Cleveland.“We were so close to being in the hunt for the playoffs,” receiver Courtland Sutton said. “So you know when we lose two games that we felt like we should have won, definitely should have won https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-drew-lock-jersey , it definitely stings.”The Broncos’ offense has ground to a halt with defenses stacking the box to stuff rookie sensation Phillip Lindsay, a task that’s been easier with the Broncos losing their top two tight ends to IR and their top two receivers, Demaryius Thomas to a trade and Emmanuel Sanders to a season-ending ruptured Achilles tendon.Lindsay has managed just 54 yards on 28 carries the last two weeks for a 1.9-yard clip after averaging 6.1 yards through the first dozen games.“They were going eight in the box,” Lindsay said. “You all see it, everything is there. It’s hard when you have eight in the box. We’ve got to come up with different things and that comes down to me and that comes down to the whole offense.”Keenum has thrown just five touchdown passes in the last five weeks, and offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave has stubbornly stuck to spread formations and hasn’t been very creative in his calls.Needing about 8 yards to get in range for McManus to have a shot at a game-winner, Musgrave called intermediate and deep routes on the Broncos’ final two plays and converted guard Connor McGovern’s shotgun snap on fourth down nearly hit the ground.Keenum reached down to grab it and as he began to rise, he was smashed by Peppers, sending the Broncos to yet another low-scoring loss. They’ll have to beat Oakland on Christmas Eve and the Chargers on Dec. 30 to avoid the franchise’s first back-to-back losing seasons since 1971-72.If Tennessee beats Dallas on Sunday, the Broncos’ playoff drought will hit three years — the prime seasons of superstar Von Miller, whose MVP performance in Super Bowl brought home the team’s third Lombardi Trophy.“We’ve still got a lot to play for,” Miller insisted. “Young guys have to get exposure and experience and it’s not over yet. We’ve got to see what’s going to happen tomorrow. The Colts play a really good Cowboys team, so we’ll be watching the game and rooting for the Cowboys.” Which Denver Broncos players compare to characters from Endgame?" />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesMile High Report homepageHorizontal - WhiteMile High Reporta Denver Broncos communityFollow Mile High Report online:Follow Mile High Report on TwitterFollow Mile High Report on FacebookLog in or sign upLog InSign UpSite searchSearchSearchMile High Report main menuFanpostsFanshotsSectionsBroncosOddsShopAboutMastheadCommunity GuidelinesStubHubMoreAll 321 blogs on Horizontal - WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Broncos NewsBroncos ScheduleBroncos PodcastsBroncos Film RoomBroncos RosterBroncos Injury UpdatesFull ArchiveBroncos StoriesScheduleRosterStatsOdds Shop About Masthead Community Guidelines StubHub ✕If your Broncos were AvengersNew,4commentsWhich Denver Broncos players compare to characters from Endgame? Avengers: Endgame has shattered records at the box office, and the Broncos still roster some record breakers of their own. One can’t help but think about which characters in the movie compare with some of our favorite Broncos players.Patience and careful studying are required to defeat the mighty Thanos, and there is no better comparison to Doctor Strange than newly acquired head coach Vic Fangio. Fangio is thoughtful and crafty with his defense, and the Broncos will rely on him to come up with a plan to defeat opposing teams against seemingly impossible odds. For Fangio Dalton Risner Jersey , Week 11 at Minnesota will be Power Stone week and Week 15 at Kansas City will be Soul Stone week, the most critical matchups on Denver’s schedule and the biggest tests Fangio will have to face. If the Broncos can keep the Chiefs from capturing the division, they have a chance to prevent all five Infinity stones from being collected and their inevitable doom.Phillip Lindsay is Ant-Man. With the ability to get skinny in the hole, but also blow up on the scene when needed, Lindsay’s strength can’t be denied, no matter the size he plays at. Ant-Man’s helmet allows for rudimentary telepathic communication, and Lindsay seems to have a similar connection with his offensive line. The dynamic second-year back out of Colorado is a fan favorite and easy to root for, similar to Scott Lang.Chris Harris Jr. is Rocket Raccoon. The high-flying energetic defender of the skies has a massive task ahead of him this season as he enters the final year of his contract with the Broncos. Harris Jr., along with teammates Will Parks (Drax) and Justin Simmons (Baby Grut), will try to pilot the vessel without Bradley Roby for the first time since Roby was drafted. The God of Thunder is Von Miller, with the ability to turn the game around with one play or one smash of his hammer. Miller has stayed in shape, unlike Thor, and is thankful to have Bradley Chubb on the other side as he enters the prime of his career.Bradley Chubb must be Captain Marvel, the new hot character on the scene. Chubb proved himself right away with 12 sacks in his rookie season, similar to how Captain Marvel proved herself immediately to the Avengers.Derek Wolfe is the Hulk, as he often has to jump between being a nice guy and being a monster when called upon. Wolfe is a family man, with a new baby on the way Womens Noah Fant Jersey , and thoughtful in his role with the Broncos. Wolfe is constantly freeing up Von Miller and Denver’s other playmakers so they can pile up sacks, and the Hulk is constantly holding up heavy buildings or battling the strongest enemies the Avengers face.Captain America would be Joe Flacco. The captain of the offense, Flacco will have to fight battles with himself this year, similar to Captain America battling himself in Avengers: Endgame. Flacco will need to earn the team’s trust, while bringing along Drew Lock as the next in line at QB for the Broncos.Photo by Liliane Lathan/Getty Images for NAACPEmmanuel Sanders draws comparisons to the Black Panther. Arguably the most gifted athlete on the Broncos, Sanders is the one Denver turns to when they need a big play. Black Panther was able to stand out in Endgame with his speed and agility, abilities Sanders is hoping to regain coming off an Achilles injury. Also, Sanders’ smile is one of the best in football, and rivals that of actor Chadwick Aaron Boseman, who plays Black Panther.Noah Fant is Spider-Man. The hopeful savior of the Broncos’ stagnant passing offense, Fant can bring an element to Denver’s game that has been missing since Julius Thomas left town. Spider-Man offers similar hope to the Avengers, as he is young and still discovering the extent of his talents and abilities.Iron Man could be John Elway. everything he thought he knew about how to bring another Super Bowl to Denver. Elway is one of the most powerful Avengers, and the Broncos need him to make the most critical decisions in Broncos’ history if they are going to have a shot at hoisting another Lombardi. Photo by Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images for DisneyThe dark thought is creeping into everyone’s minds that Elway may have to sacrifice himself and step down, in order for Denver to achieve its only way to win. The fate of the football world in Denver depends on John Elway, and his crucial choices will be watched carefully by loyal Broncos fans until his last days. The world will be watching as the previews begin for the next episode in the saga. New characters are making their presence felt in 2019, and it won’t be long before we look to a new hero to save us from going 8-8.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Kirk Cousins was flawless in his lone series in Minnesota’s new offensive scheme JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey White , backup Sean Mannion delivered a scoring pass under a heavy rush, and the Vikings defeated New Orleans 34-25 in the preseason opener for both clubs on Friday night. The game marked the Vikings’ first test of their new offense directed by coordinator Kevin Stefanski and influenced by adviser Gary Kubiak. It looked effective for the lone series in which the first-team offense played.Cousins drove the Vikings 81 yards in eight plays, completing all four passes for 65 yards. Cousins connected on a pair of short passes before finding Adam Thielen for 35 yards down the right side, setting up a 1-yard scoring pass to third-round draft choice Alexander Mattison.Mannion was 7 of 13 for 102 yards, highlighted by his 18-yard touchdown pass to rookie Olabisi Johnson as Saints defensive end Trey Hendrickson bolted into the backfield and hit the backup QB. Johnson, a seventh-round draft pick and a candidate for Minnesota’s No. 3 receiver, made the catch while leaping and reaching back over the shoulders of veteran defensive back Patrick Robinson to bring in the ball. With Saints record-setting QB Drew Brees getting the night off, ex-Viking Teddy Bridgewater started. He played throughout the first half, completing 14 of 19 passes for 134 yards and one touchdown on an 18-yard pass to tight end Dan Arnold. But Arnold essentially gave that score right back early in the second half when he was unable to secure a pass from Taysom Hill and the ball squirted straight into the arms of defensive back Nate Meadors, who easily returned his interception 30 yards for a touchdown.Hill played throughout the second half, going 8 of 14 for 80 yards and one touchdown on Lil’Jordan Humphrey’s 33-yard, tackle-breaking catch and run.Vikings second-year running back Mike Boone broke loose for a 64-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that put Minnesota up 34-25.STEELERS 30, BUCCANEERS 28PITTSBURGH (AP) — Josh Dobbs and Mason Rudolph led the offense on four scoring drives.Two-time Super Bowl winner Ben Roethlisberger gave way to recent draft picks Dobbs and Rudolph to battle for the backup quarterback job.Jameis Winston led the Bucs‘ first-team offense to a touchdown in his only offensive series against a Steelers defense that featured few regulars.Dobbs started and played two series, going 5 of 8 for 85 yards and throwing an interception that was nullified because of offsetting penalties. Dobbs, a fourth-round draft pick in 2017, also had two third-down scrambles for 44 yards, including a 36-yarder that set up a 33-yard field goal by Chris Boswell.Rudolph entered on the third series and played into the third quarter. He finished 5 of 8 for 91 yards and two touchdowns.Rudolph https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-juju-smith-schuster-jersey , the Steelers’ third-round pick in 2018, completed all three attempts during his first series, including an 8-yard touchdown to James Washington, his college teammate at Oklahoma State. In the third quarter, a 59-yard catch-and-run by Johnny Holton set up a 3-yard score to Zach Gentry, the Steelers’ fifth-round pick.Bruce Arians coached his first game for the Buccaneers, and he did it where he was an assistant coach from 2004-11, winning two Super Bowls. Arians, back on the sideline after a year of retirement, coached in Arizona for five seasons and, while in Pittsburgh, helped develop Roethlisberger into one of the league’s top quarterbacks. PITTSBURGH (AP) — Ask the men he coaches what makes Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner tick, and you get a variation of the same response. He’s a dude. A good dude. But just a dude.“There’s nothing special or outrageous or eccentric,” guard David DeCastro said. need after six highly productive if occasionally volatile seasons with Todd Haley calling the plays. On the surface Fichtner and his predecessor could not be more different. The sometimes combustible Haley wasn’t one to hide his emotions and followed a personal mandate to wear shorts at every practice regardless of the weather.Fichtner, promoted from quarterbacks coach to coordinator in January after the team allowed Haley’s contract to expire, takes a decidedly more even-keel approach. The most recent time he remembers truly losing it on the field came during the 2010 season opener against Atlanta. When Rashard Mendenhall crossed the goal line for a walk-off win, Fichtner leapt into the air and jokes he may have pulled his hamstring in the process. To be fair T. J. Watt Jersey White , the 54-year-old Fichtner can still move a little bit. He finished practice on Thursday by playfully dropping into coverage as a safety while the first-team offense went through a quick walkthrough after the defense left the field.Unlike Haley, Fichtner makes more conservative choices, at least sartorially. While Haley showed off his calves, Fichtner is usually in sweats, a long-sleeved undershirt and a pullover as he was on Wednesday even as temperatures soared into the 90s.The thing is, Fichtner didn’t really look uncomfortable. Probably a good thing considering the stakes of his new gig.He takes over one of the league’s most star-laden offenses, even with All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell out while waiting … and waiting … to sign his one-year franchise tender. All Fichtner has to do is design an attack that will produce a fifth consecutive playoff berth and — the team hopes — its first trip to the Super Bowl in eight years.Asked if he’s ready to be second-guessed every Monday and Fichtner smiled.“Sure, absolutely, comes with it,” Fichtner said. “I get it.”He’s been there before, just not for a while. He’s a football lifer. His father Ross was a quarterback at Purdue then spent eight seasons as a cornerback for the Cleveland Browns in the 1960s. Randy didn’t wander far afield. He played briefly at Purdue then went immediately into coaching after graduation. His nomadic climb up the ladder included four years at Arkansas State from 1997-2000, where he crossed paths with a young defensive backs coach whose energy and edge Fichtner couldn’t help but be drawn to.So when that young defensive backs coach called in 2006 and offered Fichtner a job in the NFL, Fichtner figured there was no way he could tell Mike Tomlin no.More than a decade later, the partnership is still going and is one of the main reasons Fichtner stayed in Pittsburgh rather than chase other opportunities.“That’s just, my relationship with Mike,” Fichtner said. “I told him when I came, I told him ‘I’m coming for you’ and since I’ve been here Womens James Conner Jersey , I’m all-in for the (owners) and the organization also. Makes it a couple of reasons. I’ve always felt I’ve been content with jobs that I’ve had and I’m content and just do the best I can.”Having some of the most talented players at his disposal doesn’t hurt either. Fichtner has developed a strong bond with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who figures to given plenty of leeway to run the no-huddle as he pleases when the Steelers open the season in Cleveland on Sunday.“I’m sure he’s quite capable of making the right decisions at the right time,” Fichtner said. “He’s done it in the past and I don’t see it being any different in the future.”Still, even Roethlisberger is a bit curious how different things will be with Fichtner’s voice coming through his helmet instead of Haley’s.“I don’t know,” Roethlisberger said. “We’ll see. That’s the question everyone wants to find out. What’s Randy’s personality? What are his tendencies? We’ll all find out on Sunday I guess.”Josh Dobbs, who credited Fichtner’s tutelage for helping him supplant Landry Jones as Roethlisberger’s primary backup coming out of training camp, is curious to see how willing Fichtner will be to let the creativity he shows during meetings come to life on the field.Yet for all of Fichtner’s “just one of the guys” persona, Dobbs allows there’s a fire underneath even if it’s imperceptible on the practice field. Just start watching film with Fichtner. The joking stops, at least briefly, replaced by Fichtner’s inner perfectionist.“When you get in the meeting room, he flips and he’s the most passionate guy every single play,” Dobbs said. “It’s ‘Do this and it’s a touchdown. This is what we can do.'”The self-described “old dude” understands he’s an unknown quantity outside the locker room. He’s not inside the locker room. His role has changed. His approach has not.“He’s probably wanted to be an OC for a long time,” Dobbs said. “So to get to that position where he’s the guy calling plays and game-planning and to see him not change is really good. He’s the same guy, bringing energy. … I think that shows in how he attacks the field.”NOTES: Tomlin said he does not plan to outline the team’s plan for Bell with Bell’s representative. Bell’s agent Adisa Bakari said Wednesday they wanted to discuss Bell’s usage before Bell reports. “I don’t communicate with agents regarding how I utilize players,” Tomlin said. “I communicate with players regarding how I utilize players.”… TE Vance McDonald (foot) did not practice on Thursday and is unlikely to play against the Browns.

Well https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-antonio-brown-jersey , that was fast. The Raiders already have made a move in free agency, striking a tentative deal with Patriots left tackle Trent Brown. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Brown will sign after 4:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday a four-year, $66 million deal.Of that amount, $36.75 million is fully guaranteed. He also becomes the highest-paid offensive lineman in football, at $16.5 million per year. The speed with which the Raiders moved suggests either that they negotiated the deal in a matter of minutes during the legal tampering window, or that the deal already has been done during the illegal tampering window. But that’s not for us to decide.A seventh-round pick of the 49ers in 2015, the Patriots acquired Brown last year in a trade. He started all 19 games last year for the Super Bowl champions, thrust into the lineup after first-rounder Isaiah Wynn suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during the preseason. Wynn Womens Derek Carr Jersey , when healthy, becomes the new left tackle. ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — to acquire prolific but disgruntled receiver Antonio Brown from the Pittsburgh Steelers and will give him the lucrative new contract he wanted.A person with direct knowledge of the trade told The Associated Press that the Raiders finalized the deal with the Steelers and will give Brown a new three-year contract worth $50.125 million instead of the $38.925 million he was owed by Pittsburgh. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal can’t be completed until the new league year starts Wednesday.Pro Football Talk first reported the deal and says Pittsburgh will get third and fifth-round draft picks from Oakland. The trade makes final what became a very messy and very public divorce between Brown and the team that helped turn the sixth-round pick into arguably the greatest wide receiver of his generation. It also gives the Raiders a high-profile addition for second-year coach Jon Gruden after trading away two of the team’s biggest stars last year in edge rusher Khalil Mack and receiver Amari Cooper.Oakland got extra first-round picks in those trades but didn’t need to give up any of its four picks in the top 35 in the upcoming draft to acquire Brown, who has topped 100 receptions and 1,200 yards receiving in each of the past six seasons. The Raiders have had only one player reach those marks in a single season in franchise history, with Hall of Famer Tim Brown accomplishing the feat in 1997.Brown now gives quarterback Derek Carr his biggest offensive weapon since entering the league in 2014 and the Raiders a legitimate star before they move to Las Vegas for the 2020 season. The Raiders’ top wide receiver last season was Jordy Nelson, who had just 63 catches for 739 yards.Gruden has always admired Brown from his time as a broadcaster and had nothing but praise for the receiver before the teams played last December.“He’s the hardest working man, I think, in football Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey ,” Gruden said. “Hardest working player I’ve ever seen practice. I’ve seen Jerry Rice, I’ve seen a lot of good ones, but I put Antonio Brown at the top. If there are any young wideouts out there, I’d go watch him practice. You figure out yourself why he’s such a good player.”Brown was obviously pleased with the development, posting a picture of himself in a Raiders uniform and a video with Carr at a Pro Bowl with the caption “Love at first sight ” on his Twitter account.Brown is no stranger to drawing headlines for both his prolific on-field production and his off-the-field antics, including livestreaming from the locker room after a playoff win over Kansas City in January 2017 and getting pulled over for doing 100 mph in the northern Pittsburgh suburbs last fall. The sometimes tumultuous relationship between the only player in NFL history with six straight 100-catch seasons and the franchise that made him the highest-paid player at his position in the spring of 2017 reached a breaking point in late December.Steelers coach Mike Tomlin benched Brown during the regular-season finale against Cincinnati after the wide receiver went radio silent in the final 48 hours before the game. Brown arrived in a fur coat, hung out for a half and then disappeared from view until well after his teammates had cleaned out their lockers following a 9-6-1 finish that left Pittsburgh on the outside of the playoffs for the first time since 2013.When Brown did resurface, he began engaging in a series of increasingly antagonistic acts designed to expedite his departure. He went on Instagram with former Steelers linebacker James Harrison during Tomlin’s season wrap-up press conference. He decried quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s “owner’s mentality” and chastised Tomlin for disciplining him in Week 17, no matter that Tomlin and the rest of the organization had spent years downplaying Brown’s off-the-field eccentricities.Brown officially requested a trade last month Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , but not before photo-shopping his familiar No. 84 onto a San Francisco 49ers jersey or using his hyperactive social media feeds to indicate not only his displeasure with the Steelers but also his interest in signing a new deal with whomever should acquire his services.Even with his benching in the finale, Brown caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards and a franchise-record and NFL-high 15 touchdowns. His last performance in a Pittsburgh uniform might have been one of his best, a 14-reception, 185-yard, two-touchdown masterpiece in a road loss to New Orleans.A week later, the player who once said he wanted to retire a Steeler didn’t even suit up against the Bengals. Just over two months later, he now finds himself heading to the second act of a career that’s on a Hall of Fame trajectory and the Steelers have a hole at receiver and more than $21 million in dead money on their salary cap.

In case you somehow didn’t know Bradley Chubb Jersey White , Thorn is a self described line of scrimmage enthusiast and works for both The Scouting Academy and USA Football. He’s one of the best Twitter follows you can find if you like in depth line of scrimmage analysis. Our interview has been lightly edited for clarity. 1st and 10This Broncos offensive line has been a bit of a revelation in how much they’ve improved. I saw you gave Paradis some love after Baltimore, you called McGovern a “pleasant surprise” through 2 weeks and I’ve seen Bolles get credit too. Do you think their performance is sustainable? Where can they most improve? I do think their performance so far is sustainable in terms of being an average to above average OL. On an individual level in terms of skill-set, physical traits, and performance so far this season the strengths of the unit in order are C-LG-RG-LT-RT. I view the interior as the strength of the unit right now, particularly in run-blocking. McGovern has been a pleasant surprise in the physicality, play strength, and overall run-blocking ability he brings to the unit. I’ve noticed him struggle at times with the timing and accuracy of his strike in pass-protection, along with hitting set points in his pass set (under/oversetting), but that is a pretty common struggle for a lot of inexperienced guards, especially having to go against the deepest position group in the NFL (interior defensive line). Bolles looks a lot like the player he did coming out of Utah when I did a full evaluation on him. His athleticism, play speed, and competitive toughness show up on tape, whereas his inability to consistently anchor to stop power, and overall hand usage struggle. I haven’t seen much improvement from him since last season in these areas. Veldheer has been adequate, but ‘adequate’ is a stark improvement for this unit compared to the caliber of RT play we have seen over the last 2-3 years so it may appear to some as better than it is.2nd and 5I was lower on Bolles than most coming out because of his age so your assessment is definitely a bit discouraging. It also seems like he can really let the team down in pass protection here and there such as the ole’ against Terrell Suggs. Do you think he’s kind of a set product, or could he continue to improve at anchoring and using his hands? I think he can improve things like technique..which is his biggest issue. Getting to the right spot in his pass set so he can establish an inside-out, half-man relationship with the defender is a big issue for him. When he over or under sets a rusher, he tends to get grabby as a means to ‘recover’ rather than reposition his feet while maintaining his base and balance. If he can learn to get to his spot consistently in pass-protection against various defensive alignments (5-6-7-9 techniques) then he will be in optimal position to use his hands. The problem is he struggles with set points AND proper hand placement/timing. This is also the root cause of him struggles transitioning to his anchor so he can stop power. I think his play strength is solid, so not much better than average. If his technique doesn’t improve significantly I’m afraid this will always be an issue. I had a 2nd round grade on him coming out for the Inside the Pylon Draft Guide, and my two biggest concerns were anchor and overall technique. Those seem to still be what are still restricting necessary growth.3rd and 3Moving to the defensive side of the ball. What do you see? It seemed like Elway’s plan before the season was to let Talib go in order to pay Keenum, but then Chubb fell into his lap and the defensive philosophy seemingly became: the Orange Rush will dominate up front and make up for the secondary, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I think Von Miller and the edge rushers have looked okay, and Peko has definitely impressed but can they do more? I really haven’t seen the secondary enough to speak very intelligently on it. Run defense still very good. Their front 7 is strong. Bradley Chubb has really stood out https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-drew-lock-jersey , particularly against the run. He sets a hard edge and is showing good play strength & competitive toughness. Had a really nice inside stab and counter for a sack vs. Ronnie Stanley. His get-off isn’t elite so his pass-rush moves need to be really developed & he has to have multiple to become a better rusher, which should happen in time. I think he’s showing some improvement in that regard, but right now he’s stout vs. the run and that’s a big part the defensive success as a whole. 4th and inchesYou’re someone I definitely go to as a resource when it comes to draft time. I know it’s really early in that process for most, but have any prospects really jumped out at you? Anyone that Broncos fans should keep an eye on? I honestly have not watched any CFB this season except maybe a few highlights. I have seen a lot of Jonah Williams over the years and thought he was the best OT in the country in 2017 not being draft eligible. So I’m a huge fan of his game. DENVER (AP) — Brandon McManus kicked a 36-yard field goal just inside the right upright with six seconds left, pushing the Denver Broncos to a 20-19 win over the hard-luck Oakland Raiders and denying Jon Gruden his first win as a head coach since 2008.With no timeouts and 18 seconds left, Case Keenum hit Tim Patrick for a 26-yard gain to the Oakland 18.
